OOTD: Must You Mustard Me Up?

Mustard...such an ugly color right? Wrong! (Well, at least in my opinion.) When used appropriately in small doses, it can really make an outfit by adding a splash of warm tone. I wouldn't recommend going all out in mustard-colored everything, but I personally love it in the form of scarves, shoes, accessories, etc... Best paired with nudes, browns, or blacks, mustard is a great fall color that everyone should snatch up for their autumn wardrobe.

I love bright pants (and jeans)!

If you are daring enough, bright pants are an easy way to add color to your wardrobe. My personal favorite are red pants, simply because red is such a classic color and is bold and lively without being too girly. For those of us not on the runways, bright colored jeans are a great alternative to keep up with the bright-bottomed trend. Bold pants are gonna be huge next spring, but it doesn't hurt to sneak them in a little earlier does it? ;)

Trend Alert: The comeback of chunky heels

Although they sort of remind my of my grandma's old Mary Janes, I have to admit that I quite like them. Something (probably the thickness) about the heel makes me feel more secure when I am walking, and the shape just adds a bit more edge to the average pump/platform. I am aware that they are sort of a love/hate thing, so I wouldn't necessarily call these the "universally hot" shoes for the season. But who cares about what others think, right? Fashion is fashion. So what's your opinion? Love them? Hate them?

OOTD: Let's take the metro to the retro

I personally love the look of poodle skirts... but too bad we live in the 21st century. Therefore, this modified, chicer, shorter, more fashion-forward version is one that will fit better into the modern scene. Paired with a classic blazer and some modern nude stilettos, this outfit is simple adorable.

Color Obsession: Turquoise!

It's such a pretty color. Turquoise reminds me a little of the ocean, a little of the sky. Whenever I wear it, I feel that I can fly (hehe, cheesy rhyme). It can make any drab outfit pop, and make any colorful outfit stand out a little brighter.
