OOTD: Fresh Breath of Spring

Sometimes, we need to make a clean break from the past. Sometimes, we need to forget everything and start anew. Sometimes, we need a clean slate. Sometimes, we just need to breathe a clean, fresh breath of air. Springtime is the perfect time to turn over old leaves and create a new, untainted life. The light and dark color scheme of this outfit fits in with the idea of a transition from the old to the new-- from the past to the present.  I love the girly scalloped detailing on the minty dress; it's probably my favorite part of this outfit. Fresh Breath of Spring

Dior Snow Skincare Collection

In the snow I waited...

...and then you came.

Dior ‘Diorsnow Sublissime UV‘ Whitening UV Spot Corrector SPF 50 PA+++ ($45) – a concealer to cover dark spots and other skin irregularities
Dior ‘Diorsnow Protection UV‘ White Reveal UV Shield SPF 50 PA+++ ($49) – a lightweight moisturizer for day with a hint of tint
Dior ‘Diorsnow‘ White Reveal Lotion ($49) – a refreshing astringent lotion to wake up your skin
Dior ‘Diorsnow Sublissime‘ Whitening Radiance Foam Cleanser ($35) – a foaming cleanser that gently illuminates skin
Dior ‘Diorsnow‘ White Reveal Creme ($85) – a night cream that hydrates, plumps and firms skin

I've always wanted to try a Dior Snow facial creme because of all the great things that I've heard about the Dior Snow collection. The facial creme is supposed to have 3 uses:
1. Moisturize
2. Provide UV protection
3. Lighten dark spots
For someone with severe hyper-pigmentation left over by acne, this seems like a dream come true. The only thing that's preventing me from buying it is the steep price. Of course, if it's really worth it, I am more than willing to invest. So if anyone has used any Dior Snow product, please let me know if I should dish out fifty dollars. I will be sure to post a review if I do end up trying the facial creme.

There is a Reason Why Children Don't Learn About Sex Until a Certain Age

Dear France:
It is not acceptable to sexually exploit little girls for fashion magazines. Little girls have pure, innocent minds filled with fantasies of happily ever afters and princesses-- minds that should not be infringed upon by the corrupt alliance between the fashion industry and the sex industry. When you put pictures of 10-year-old sex kittens into a glamour magazine, it sends the message that you don't value the integrity of prepubescent minds, and that you will do anything for financial gain. When you pander to the desires of sexual predators, it screams to the world, "little girls are a commodity". Please stop this practice immediately.
Sincerely, A

OOTD: The Fading Age of Innocence

Sometimes inevitable dark days creep into our lives. Sometimes we feel as if the world is against us. Sometimes we feel as if we have entered a dark age that obscures love and innocence. But sometimes, sometimes... we manage to see a scintilla of light. The dark theme made manifest by the black and white contrast of this outfit is offset by a flirty, feminine pink reminiscent of childish naivete. The flouncy skirt adds softness to the edginess of the geometric earnings and stiletto heels. My favorite part of this piece is the Chanel 2.55 chain strap bag that adds classiness to the sexy length of the skirt.

Watch out for those waterfalls!

Waterfall, high-low, asymmetrical... whatever you want to call it, the high-in-the-front-low-in-the-back hemline has been the rage all season. What I love most about this style is that it is sexy without being slutty. The long tail in the back adds just the right amount of modesty and classiness that turns a normal miniskirt into a flowy, breezy, masterpiece. These high-low skirts/ dresses come in all different fabrics, shapes, colors, patterns, textures; there is a perfect match for anyone. Next time I go shopping, I will be sure to pick up the first reasonably priced high-low skirt I spot. ♥ Most of the following pieces are from Modcloth.com, my personal favorite site for on-trend, yet whimsical pieces.
